Roses For Mozart
Folks who attended “Roses for Mozart” November 20, 2008
- enjoyed a poetry reading and book signing for Jacquee T.’s poetry book Growing Up (the pain, the joy, the discoveries).
- enjoyed live music by Forget December with Jonathon Cartwright and James Stauber featuring modern and alternative style rock, by Dominick Margentina featuring covers by the likes of Elivs Presley and The Beatles, and Michael Almaguer featuring modern rock and Latino classics.
All music, under all styles, featured a “romantic” theme.

- had the opportunity to partake in the “Romantic Raffle,” with chances to win:
- a private wine tasting for eight at Wine Styles
- a private and a group dance lesson at any Chicago area Arthur Murray dance studio
- dinner at the Pump Room
- two matinee tickets for Noble Horse Theatre
- a signature, artistic calendar from LavAzza Cafe
- a “kitten” basket with a kitty afghan, toys, and books provided by Tree House
- a dinner certificate for Kiki’s French Bistro.
- two Chicago Chocolate Tours certificates.
The Detour “Roses for Mozart” select charity was Tree House Humane Society, this in honor of Miss Thomas’s cat Mozart, who died last spring.
Part of the evening decor, of course, were organic roses.
